The SPECTRONIC 501 visible-wavelength-range and SPECTRONIC601 UV/Visible single-beam narrow bandpass [less than 5 nm] spectrophotometers provide reliable results with microprocessor controlled efficiency.
Instrumental capability makes it particularly useful in the basic research lab or a high output laboratory (industrial quality control toxicology or clinical areas).
Basic design highlights include microprocessor control with a dual function keyboard and ful alphanumeric display test parameter storage the ability to flag out-of-limits readings selectable signal averaging a programmable lamp-change wavelength feature (601 only) an auto zero feature and an auto "go to wavelength" feature.
Both are analog recorder compatible; each comes with the RS-232C interface permitting computer control and hard copy documentation for QA/QC procedures.
The advanced optical system ensures photometric accuracy and reliability.
Optics incorporate toroidal mirrors a replicated holographic grating a tungsten-halogen lamp a deuterium (601 only) source lamp. Silicone dioxide coated optical surface reduced placement frequency.
Make use of the Lamp Saver feature and extended lamp life by selecting a lower lamp intensity for low absorbance samples.
The detector is a solid-state silicone photocell.
Modular design lets you configure the SPECTRONIC 501/601 to meet your present requirements and yet retain future expansion and automation capabilities.
The optional Accessory Control Module controls all automated sampling accessories (flow-thru cell automatic samplers for up to 114 samples or a water-jacketed six potion automatic cell positioner ).
Pre-set sampling programs (standard curve end point kinetics multiple wavelength absorbance ratio ect.) are resident in six APPLIPAK cartridges that plug into the Control Module.
